What does Planet Full Of Blues sound like?
Imagine Stevie Ray Vaughan colliding with Blood, Sweat, & Tears and you get a new
shade of blue for the 21st Century.
Planet Full of Blues is a versatile, seasoned, and professional guitar driven blues rock
band. The band offers the option of horns, keyboards, and rhythm guitar to promoters
and venues who are seeking a bigger, brassier sound.
Live performances include a mix of originals and covers by favorite blues masters like
BB King, Tommy Castro, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Popa Chubby, and Freddie King to name
a few. PFOB’s sound reflects the best of today’s progressive blues/rock bands served
up Virginia Style!
The band has been receiving national and international attention since the release of
their self-titled debut album. In fact, one of the album cuts, Planet Full Of Blues,
continues to be listed as one of the top 50 played blues songs in the country.
The band released its first full length self-funded and professionally recorded CD in
August 2008. The album was recorded and produced at Awe Struck Studios, Kansas
City. Additionally, the album offers 11 compelling original songs and has received many

One testament to the strength of the band and their debut release is the fact that the
album has been nominated for the 2009 Port Folio Music Awards Album of the Year and
the band has been nominated for 2009 Port Folio Music Awards Blues Band of the Year.
